Artist Note: Hearts appeared all over my sketchbooks for this series. Love is elegant and intricate. Swirling lines often produce delicious unexpected designs. And, sometimes, drawing those spinning, twisting lines over and over just feels really good. There is always a story about love. This is about the magnificent complexity of relationships.
Extra tip: I have been married for 40 years. These drawings resonate with my husband. I have given him many drawings over the years for various occasions. He loves them. Ok, sure it’s possible that he is saying nice things but hey they are still on his desk.
