Artist Note: When I get on my bike I instantly become eight years old again. I love the wind in my face and the pure delight of leg power. I can’t stop smiling. And triathletes…you swim first, jump on your bike then get off and run. Hats off to you.

The ellipse is one of the foundational shapes in art and in my series titled "Full Force Women", I use a combination of these imperfect curves to build strong eccentric female figures. The frenetic quality of the line leaves them lovingly ill-defined and I name each of them whimsically. In joyful chaos I present these bold, beautiful women, ready as they are to take on the world. I draw them quickly, not sloppily and they make me laugh. I love them. Enjoy!
