Artist Note: This is my first work in a new series titled “Still. Life”. As a young girl I was told I had a vivid imagination. I was encouraged to see things in a bright, intense, saturated way. Image, color, detail, reflection, the simplest objects can always be seen in their own distinct way. Vivid–imagine colors as sounds, edges as cliffs, glass as cold as Arctic ice…our vivid tapestry is at play.

Series is “Still. Life”. Part of the reason for choosing the title is the delight I feel to be Still. Here. My life is complicated, colorful, frenetic and groovy all at the same time. Just like yours! Sometimes our glasses help us see things clearly. Sometimes they are half full and bring us joy. Life shifts and is never perfectly lined up. And just when you think things are stable it shifts again. But always there is stark beauty. Everywhere. Still. Life.
